About Me

Soham Kundu is an Indian classical vocalist based in Kolkata. He has received training in Hindustani classical music under the tutelage of Padma Bhushan Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Shreemati Chandana Chakraborty, Shree Brajeswar Mukherjee, and Shree Indrani Majumder, within the traditional guru–shishya parampara. Their guidance has shaped his musical understanding of raga, voice culture, and repertoire, with a strong emphasis on aesthetic depth and lyrical sensitivity.

He is an ex-scholar of the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) and is undergoing extensive training at Shrutinandan, Kolkata, where he is also a Scholar—institutions known for their contribution to the systematic training of Indian classical musicians.

He presents a diverse musical repertoire that includes Khayal, Thumri, Ghazal, Bhajan, Hindi & Bangla Songs, reflecting both classical depth and expressive versatility. Alongside his vocal performances, he is actively engaged in composing original music. His work includes independent musical compositions as well as a commercially released song. Watch Latest Video

Soham has performed at NCPA, Mumbai, in 2019 at the ADD ART FESTIVAL, twice at Shrutinandan Tuesday Concerts, 2018 and 2023, at Sangeet Piyasi Competition, at Rajya Shishu Kishore Utsav bagging the First Prize for Khyal Category and at Uttam Manch for concerts of Shrutinandan.

The Foundation that I have tried to learn from my Guru is the backbone of everything I do—from the way I sing a note to the way I compose a melody. Whether it's through digital platforms, live collaborations, or creative recording projects, I focus on sharing music in ways that connect with today's listeners.
